Y1 Grammar Punctuation and Spelling

Recognising a Sentence Lesson

This Recognising a Sentence lesson covers the prior learning of recognising verbs in sentences, before moving onto the main skill of recognising a sentence.

The lesson starts with a prior learning activity to check pupils’ understanding. If they need more practice, you can choose other resources for that step. Children can then practise further by completing the activities and can extend their learning with engaging reasoning and application tasks.
