Greater Depth Questions to support recognising ‘and’ to join two words and two clauses together in the same sentence. Includes the use of longer and more detailed sentences.

Application and Reasoning
Questions 1, 4 and 7 (Application)
Developing Match the start of the sentence to the end of the sentence. Includes use of the conjunction ‘and’ to join two words and use of mostly CVC and CCVC/CVCC words.
Expected Match the sentences that could be joined by the conjunction ‘and’. Includes joining two clauses.
Greater Depth Identify the sentences that could be joined by the conjunction ‘and’. Includes joining two words and two clauses together in the same sentence and clauses which cannot be joined.
