This Year 6 Identifying Clauses teaching PowerPoint has been designed to give a complete teaching sequence for your lesson. It explains how a main clause contains a subject and a verb which makes sense on its own. It then explains how a subordinate clause contains a subject and a verb but does not make sense on its own. The PowerPoint also includes some varied fluency questions which can be completed throughout the lesson to check children's understanding. There is also some reasoning and application questions at the end of the PowerPoint to further embed your children's learning. Use this PowerPoint alongside our worksheets to create a full lesson.
