1. What could the group names be?
Discuss what groups you can sort the animals into, such as specific animals, amount of legs, ability to fly or what they eat, etc. This question is open-ended for the children to explore.

2. Help Jungle Jim sort the animals.
Discuss how to record the answers, for example: in a table or in a Venn diagram, etc.

3. Which animals eat plants? Which animals eat animals?
Discuss animals that could eat both plants and animals. Discuss how to record the answers; children can come up with their own way for recording.

4. Help Jungle Jim sort these animals in three different ways.
Discuss other ways of sorting the animals, including some ways we have already looked at, such as: specific animals, amount of legs and what they eat, etc. This question is open-ended for the children to explore.

Optional discussion points:

What other animals would you expect to see in the jungle? Which groups would they be added to?
