Step 7-9: It’s the end of the school trip for Alex and Sophia and time for the children to head home. Pupils will need help to work out the decimal and fraction of a number of people standing at a bus stop, work out the decimal and fraction of the amount of fuel used and left in the tank of the bus, work out how much money Alex has spent both as a fraction and as a decimal and finally solve questions as part of a quiz.
Step 1: Two Year 6 children, Alex and Sophia, embark on a school trip to the Natural History Museum with their teacher, Mr Khan. Before they can begin their journey, some baggage needs to be put into weight order. The bus driver also needs help selecting the shortest route to get the class to their destination. Finally, Alex and Sophia need some help with a card game they are playing on the bus.
Step 2-3: Join Alex and Sophia as they visit the Natural History Museum with their class. Here they work out the price of tickets, work out the size of a dinosaur by multiplying by 100, work out the distance walked across a set number of hours, solve the scaled size of a dinosaur by dividing by 100 and finally solve answers to a quiz.
