Discussion points for teachers

1. How many hats does he need to make sure every head has a hat? Discuss how the heads can be counted i.e. in lots of 1, 2, 3 or 4 etc.
2. Does he have enough cups? Discuss how the cups can be counted i.e. tens and ones etc.
3. Count the bowls for Zax. Discuss how children can count the objects that are grouped in different amounts, e.g. one by one, etc.
4. Help Jib send the aliens home by matching the numbers on their coats to the spaceships. Discuss the process of matching i.e. what to read first and how they do know they are the same?
