Discussion points for teachers

  1. Help Cleo to choose the correct bricks and put them in order of value to help her complete the pyramid. Discuss the position of the numbers. Discuss which numbers are and aren’t multiples of 100, for example 801 isn’t because it is made up of 8 hundreds and 1 one. Discuss how to order, this could be done in ascending or descending order.
  2. Help Cleo count in 100s to find a route across the river using the hieroglyphic key. Discuss how the numbers are represented and how to use a key. Discuss the use of counting forwards and backwards within the same question.
  3. Cleo must input the numbers from 1,000 to 0 in the correct order to be able to blast off in her time machine. Discuss which numbers are and aren’t multiples of 100. Discuss the ordering of the numbers.
