# Introduce Capacity Lesson

This Year 1 Introduce Capacity lesson covers the prior learning of using everyday language to talk about capacity, before moving onto the main skill of exploring and describing capacity and volume.

The lesson starts with a prior learning worksheet to check pupils’ understanding. If they need more practice, you can choose other resources for the step. The interactive lesson slides recap the prior learning before moving on to the main skill. Children can then practise further by completing the activities and can extend their learning by completing an engaging extension task.
