Mixed Age Year 1 and 2 Multiplication and Division Step 11 Resource Pack includes a teaching PowerPoint and differentiated varied fluency and reasoning and problem solving resources for this step which covers Year 2 Recognise Equal Groups.* This pack follows the White Rose Mixed Age Maths Guidance for Spring Block 1.

*Please Note - This step does not include resources for Year 1 to match the steps provided in the guidance from White Rose Maths. It is recommended that Year 1 consolidate prior learning or complete the developing level as an introduction for next year. We are hoping to review these resources and possibly provide content for the other year group in the academic year 2019-2020.

Reasoning and Problem Solving
Questions 1, 4 and 7 (Problem Solving)
Developing Identify which groups are equal, using 1:1 pictorial representations.
Expected Identify which groups are equal, using the same representation of a number.
Greater Depth Identify which groups are equal, using multiple representations of a number.

Questions 2, 5 and 8 (Problem Solving)
Developing Match the images to the sentences, using 1-5 image per group, where each image represents 1; maximum 2 groups.
