We recommend using this novel with Year 3 & Year 4. In this chapter, Lou goes on a fox hunt with some neighbours. Barney visits Stig and convinces him to go hunting too. Stig and Barney have a miscommunication as Barney wants to hunt foxes but Stig wants to hunt birds. After Stig scares off the hound searching for the fox, he then tries to shoot a hunter's horse with an arrow. Lou ends up in a stampede with other members of the hunt and thinks she saw a strange creature come out of the woods (Stig).
