Stig of the Dump Chapter 7 Comprehension

Stig of the Dump Chapter 7 Comprehension

Stig of the Dump Chapter 7 Comprehension for Whole Class Guided Reading includes differentiated questions and activities based on the fourth chapter of the popular novel by Clive King. We recommend using this novel with Year 3 & Year 4. In this chapter, Barney and Lou are invited to a fancy dress party but Granny says they can't go. She explains she doesn't have time to make costumes for them so Barney decides to go and see if Stig has anything he can wear. He swaps marbles for some rabbit skins, an axe and a leopard skin (for Lou). Barney and Lou sneak out to the fancy dress party. Mid-way through, there is a power cut so Lou suggests a game of hunt the leopard while they wait for the power to turn back on. During the game, the children find a real leopard. Stig, who followed Barney to the party, helps capture the leopard, who has escaped from the travelling circus.
