Differentiation:

Varied Fluency
Developing Questions to support using statements where the words used are decodable or commonly featured in Year 1 expectations. All sentences are either statements or questions.
Expected Questions to support using statements where the words used contain spellings taken from the Year 1 and 2 spelling words.
Greater Depth Questions to support using statements where the words used contain spellings taken from the Year 1 and 2 spelling words. Words used may be taken from the Year 2 spelling appendix.

Application and Reasoning
Questions 1, 4 and 7 (Application)
Developing Change the question into a statement. Words used throughout are decodable or commonly featured in Year 1 expectations.
Expected Change the exclamation into a statement. Spellings are primarily taken from the Year 1 and 2 spelling words.
Greater Depth Change the command into a statement. Spellings are taken from the Year 1 and 2 spelling words. Words may be taken from the Year 2 spelling appendix.

Questions 2, 5 and 8 (Reasoning)
Developing Explain which statement is correct about the type of sentence. Words used throughout are decodable or commonly featured in Year 1 expectations. Includes statements and questions.
