National Curriculum Objectives:

Mathematics Year 5: (5N2) Read, write, order and compare numbers to at least 1 000 000 and determine the value of each digit
Mathematics Year 5: (5N4) Round any number up to 1 000 000 to the nearest 10, 100, 1000, 10 000 and 100 000
Mathematics Year 5: (5N6) Solve number problems and practical problems that involve 5N1 - 5N5
Mathematics Year 5: (5C5a) Identify multiples and factors, including finding all factor pairs of a number, and common factors of two numbers
Mathematics Year 5: (5C8a) Solve problems involving multiplication and division including using their knowledge of factors and multiples, squares and cubes

About this Resource

This resource is aimed at Year 5 pupils and incorporates questions linked to rounding and multiples. Children can choose to work out the correct set of statistics for each card first or play the game ‘live’ where the correct statistics will need to be worked out during each turn.
