Mathematics Year 5: (5F6b) Recognise and use thousandths and relate them to tenths, hundredths and decimal equivalents
Differentiation:
Beginner Adding tenths values to values given as ones and tenths (e.g. 6.3 + 0.2). No crossing of ones boundary. Aimed at Year 5 Emerging.
Easy Adding tenths or hundredths values to values given as ones and tenths or ones, tenths and hundredths, respectively, (e.g 3.4 + 0.5 or 4.61 + 0.04). No crossing of tenths or ones boundary. Aimed at Year 5 Emerging.
Tricky Adding tenths or hundredths value to any decimal value. Some crossing of ones or tenth boundary, (e.g. 3.45 + 0.06). Aimed at Year 5 Developing.
Expert Adding tenths, hundredths or thousandths value to any decimal value with a variety of structures - tens, ones, tenths, hundredths and thousandths, (e.g. 9.4 + 0.03 or 2.567 + 0.9). Answers may involve crossing any place value boundary. Aimed at Year 5 Secure.
