What has been happening at Classroom Secrets in the academic year 2024-2025?
Improvements and expansions in 2025
Since last September, we have really invested in research and finding out what will best support teachers and children in your class.
Our content specialists study the curriculum, education and subject research and speak to teachers just like you to develop new overviews and resources.
You can be assured that all resources are age-appropriate and meet the needs of the national curriculum. We’ve worked closely with our Insiders research panel to ensure we are speaking to teachers to find out what those of you in the classroom really need.
Over this academic year, our content specialists have focused on new subject areas and this is how we’ve expanded our offering and enhanced your experience:
New Subjects & Resources:
You’ll see that we’ve introduced a heap of new subjects, including Science, Geography, History and Sustainability.
We’ve also created hundreds of maths resources for our new scheme, including our hugely popular Rapid Arithmetic and Maths in Minutes lines.
50 new writing packs have been created to encourage children to write quality text – all linked to popular books.
2 new reading resource lines have been added – Readers Theatre and Rise and Read – all with a view to improve fluency in your children’s reading.
We’re also releasing a new line of resources across all year groups, called Wake Up and Work, which will provide all you need for morning work across the core curriculum in one easy-to-use document.
Website Improvements:
We've upgraded our website with a new dashboard, quick save and download features, and mobile optimisation to make your experience even smoother. In June, we’ve added the ability to view your downloads by payment period, together with a new ‘Suggest a Resource’ form, which allows you to let us know what content would help you to be the best teacher you can be!
So, what’s next?
We commit to continuing to add to our resource offering – as well as new history and geography units and brand new science displays – we have two big projects in progress...
Updated Classic Maths Resources
As our Classic Maths Scheme is extremely popular we have made the decision to backfill any resources that may need updating to our current offering. This includes completing any missing VF and RPS worksheets, Discussion Problems, Practical Activities and Teaching PowerPoints. This process is already underway so watch this space! There will be everything you need in one place.
Brand new EYFS resources
As part of our EYFS offering we are really excited to be able to start offering Theme Packs. These will include a wide variety of resources related to specific topics and themes such as Minibeasts and All About Me! You can expect to see support for practitioners and teachers with planning and enhanced provision guides, differentiated literacy and maths worksheets, colouring sheets, simple, step by step 'how to draw' instructions and pencil control activities. We have also developed a range called 'I Wonder' that have been specifically designed to boost communication and language through the use of questions and visually stunning photographs. We've even got I-Spy and Spot the Difference activities related to our themes to boost visual discrimination skills.'
Keep visiting our website to see what’s new and don’t forget if you have any suggestions then our ‘Suggest a Resource’ form will be available soon!
