Find out about the features of the United Kingdom's coastlines with our Year 2, 3 and 4 Coastal Features Guided Reading Pack. Children will learn all about wildlife, tourism, conservation and more, whilst answering a series of different-style questions designed to help develop reading skills. As an additional task, pupils will complete questions based upon, word definitions, punctuation and the present tense.

National Curriculum Objectives

Reading: English Year 3 & Year 4: Retrieve and record information from fiction and

non-fiction.

SPAG: English Year 3 & Year 4: Use the present perfect form of verbs instead of the

simple past [for example, He has gone out to play contrasted with He went out to

play]

Other: Geography KS2: Describe and understand key aspects of physical geography,

including: climate zones, biomes and vegetation belts, rivers, mountains, volcanoes

and earthquakes, and the water cycle

Geography KS1: Use basic geographical vocabulary to refer to key physical features,

including: beach, cliff, coast, forest, hill, mountain, sea, ocean, river, soil, valley,

vegetation, season and weather
