EYFS Subitising to 3 Peg Cards
These EYFS Subitising to 3 Peg Activity Cards support children's understanding of counting and numerals to 3. Children should be encouraged to instantly recognise the quantities shown without needing to count the separate images. A clothes peg can be placed on the corresponding numeral to indicate how many items there are. Alternatively, the cards showing number pieces can be provided which will support children's quick recognition of the maths manipulative. These peg activity cards can form part of independent, child initiated learning within provision or may be used within intervention activities with a supporting adult.
