Y2 Grammar Punctuation and Spelling

Past Progressive Tense Lesson

This Past Progressive Tense lesson covers the prior learning of simple past and present tenses, before moving onto the main skill of recognising and using the past progressive tense.

The lesson starts with a prior learning activity to check pupils’ understanding. If they need more practice, you can choose other resources for that step. Children can then practise further by completing the activities and can extend their learning with engaging reasoning and application tasks.
