Fractions of a Quantity Lesson

This Year 4 Fractions of a Quantity lesson covers the prior learning of fractions of an amount, before moving onto the main skill of finding fractions of a quantity.

The lesson starts with a prior learning worksheet to check pupils’ understanding. If they need more practice, you can choose other resources for those steps here and here. The interactive lesson slides recap the prior learning before moving on to the main skill. Children can then practise further by completing the activities and can extend their learning by completing an engaging extension task.
