This EYFS Christmas Recognising Numerals 1 to 10 activity is a festive-themed game. This resource has a range of possible activities including tracing over the numbers in order; placing the correct quantity of counters on each numeral; ordering the numerals in ascending and descending order and much more! Pupils will become more secure in their recognition of numerals too.
It covers the following objectives for children in reception:
Link the number symbol (numeral) with its cardinal value
Curriculum Objectives
- Have a deep understanding of number to 10, including the composition of each number
- Subitise (recognise quantities without counting) up to 5
- Automatically recall (without reference to rhymes, counting or other aids) number bonds up to 5 (including subtraction facts) and some number bonds to 10, including double facts
