Guide the characters to the different objects with our engaging EYFS Hey Diddle Diddle Handwriting Patterns resource. This activity allows children to develop their fine motor skills whilst recapping the characters, objects and settings within the rhyme. There are a variety of patterns to complete, all within the theme of the nursery rhyme.

It covers the following objectives for children in reception:

Develop their small motor skills so that they can use a range of tools competently, safely and confidently. Suggested tools: pencils for drawing and writing, paintbrushes, scissors, knives, forks and spoons.
