This EYFS Little Miss Muffet Positional Language activity helps to develop children's understanding of where objects might be located. Supporting adults read the text instructions and the child demonstrates their understanding of preposition by drawing a spider in the appropriate place. This resource is ideal to be used in an adult-led activity and may also form part of intervention activities.

It covers the following objectives for children aged 3 and 4 years old:

Understand position through words alone for example, The bag is under the table, with no pointing

Discuss routes and locations, using words like in front of and behind
