A Year 2 Compare Money Reasoning and Problem Solving resource to challenge the minds of those children who are already confident in the basic skills of comparing money. Our resource is differentiated three ways, with each worksheet containing six questions. These worksheets can be completed independently or can be used for small group work. Questions can also be cut up to make challenge cards!
Curriculum Objectives
- Compare and order lengths, mass, volume/capacity and record the results using >, < and =
- Recognise and use symbols for pounds (£) and pence (p); combine amounts to make a particular value
- Find different combinations of coins that equal the same amounts of money
- Solve simple problems in a practical context involving addition and subtraction of money of the same unit, including giving change
