This Year 2 Consolidating Sentence Types 1 Mistake Investigators resource uses four questions that will help to strengthen children's reasoning skills by encouraging them to identify and explain mistakes.

Four questions are presented on one sheet as if they have been answered by pupils, with three incorrect answers and one answered correctly. Children are encouraged to spot the mistakes, decide which answer is correct and explain their thinking. Question 4 is a tick box exercise to familiarise with assessments.

The questions are designed for group work, to spark discussion and encourage children to work together. If you're looking for something to help your children develop their analytic and reasoning skills, helping them to become more investigative learners, this resource is the perfect choice!

Ideal for progressing to once the accompanying application and reasoning sheet has been completed, answers are also provided for whole-class or self-marking opportunities.
