This Year 2 Count Backwards in 3s Varied Fluency resource prompts children to use their skills of counting backwards in 3s to solve six different questions. To aid their progress, we've included pictorial support such as counters, straws and number pieces. There's also some number lines to support children too!

This activity can be completed independently or in small groups and is the ideal introduction to counting backwards in 3s. We've added an answer page to make marking a breeze. Once pupils are confident, how about trying our reasoning and problem solving resource for the same step.
