With our Year 2 Diary of Mary Seacole Reader's Theatre pack, you can help children develop their reading fluency and reading comprehension skills. Featuring a Reading Fluency pack for children, a Reader's Theatre Teaching PowerPoint and a Miscue Analysis resource, you can be sure that your class has everything they need to become fluent readers.

We have provided a timetable in the pack for you to follow each week. The timetable shows you when to model good reading, when to allow children to repeat and follow, and when children can begin to develop expression, understand tone and volume to truly get to grips with the text.

Also included with the pack is a close reading exercise, which questions children's understanding of how tone and expression affect the text, a phrase-marking sheet to encourage children to add their own expression to the text and a feedback rubric, so that children can visualise the progress they've had across the week. No props, no learning off-by-heart; just reading fluency fun.
