This Year 2 Equal and Unequal Parts Discussion Problem is designed to challenge your pupils' thinking and to get them talking about their work. In pairs or small groups, they are set the task of finding different ways to split a square into five equal parts. Using squared paper they will discover that equal parts may look different, but can still be the same size.
