Are your children still finding length and height measurements tricky? Why not give our Year 2 Four Operations with Lengths and Heights Supporting Activity a try. This hands-on learning experience will help to bring tricky concepts to life. We've created this activity so that it uses equipment that is readily available around your classroom which in turn makes it quick to set up and pack away. Using practical equipment will support children in completing the task and making meaningful links between abstract concepts. A modelled example is provided on the resource to get you started.

This resource would be perfect to use in class as a small group activity during your lesson. Alternatively, you could incorporate it into an intervention program with another adult, Other uses could be as part of a working Maths display or use within a continuous provision area.
