Give children the opportunity to apply their measuring in centimetres skills by using our Year 2 Measure in Centimetres reasoning and problem solving resource. We've created two reasoning questions and one problem solving style question with two of each question style for children to try. This ready to use resource is fun and engaging for children to complete. This resource has been differentiated three ways to support all learners. Here is a brief guide to how our differentiation is suitable for each level of challenge:

Developing Measure objects using a ruler always starting at 0. All units shown on the ruler.

Expected Measure objects using a ruler not always starting at 0. All units shown on the ruler.

Greater Depth Measure objects using a ruler not aligned with 0. Some increments missing.

Use this resource as an independent learning activity following a series of varied fluency questions. Alternatively, this resource would be suitable to be used in a small group or in pairs too. A handy answer sheet is provided to aid marking or provide a good opportunity for peer or self marking.
