Explore the 2 x Table with our Year 2 The 2 Times Table resource. Split into six different questions, our resource includes fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions. Children will use number pieces, bar models and missing number sentences to develop their knowledge of multiplication as well as tackle a challenging word problem.
This resource can be used to consolidate learning through either independent, paired or small group work.
Curriculum Objectives
- Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables, including recognising odd and even numbers
- Calculate mathematical statements for multiplication and division within the multiplication tables and write them using the multiplication (×), division (÷) and equals (=) signs
- Solve problems involving multiplication and division, using materials, arrays, repeated addition, mental methods, and multiplication and division facts, including problems in contexts
