This Year 4 Consolidating Fronted Adverbials Mixed Activity worksheet will give children the opportunity to practise consolidating fronted adverbials.

They will tick sentences that show accurate fronted adverbials and choose a fronted adverbial to best describe a sentence. They will then move onto writing sentences that use fronted adverbials, explain whether a sentence has been written with a fronted adverbial correctly and rewrite a paragraph to add fronted adverbials.

The range of questions, from fluency to reasoning and application, will engage and challenge children and enable them to secure their learning in a variety of ways. Answers are provided to ensure your marking is as quick and easy as possible.

Other resources for this block are also available, such as a homework worksheet, an application extended writing opportunity and a teaching PowerPoint.
