This Year 4 Multiply a 2-Digit Number by a 1-Digit Number Teaching PPT supports children as they move from informal written methods of multiplication to using the formal short multiplication method. Children begin by working with calculations that involve no exchanges, before progressing to questions with one and then two exchanges.

The content is organised into Let’s Learn sections, where models, steps and key vocabulary are introduced, followed by Let’s Practise sections, where children apply their skills through short, targeted activities.
