This Year 4 Order Decimals Varied Fluency resource will give your pupils practice ordering decimal numbers with two decimal places. Each of the 3 questions requires them to look carefully at the ones, tenths and hundredths column of a number and make a decision about its value. Then, they order the numbers using comparison symbols or the words ascending or descending. Each question has two similar parts in order to promote fluency.

An answer sheet is included to help teachers with marking and pupils with self marking.

A reasoning and problem solving resource is also available for this small step.

Curriculum Objectives

  • Recognise and write decimal equivalents of any number of tenths or hundredths
  • Compare numbers with the same number of decimal places up to two decimal places
