Alan the astronaut is exploring the plant Argus and meets some alien creatures. In this writing task children are asked to use direct speech to write a conversation between Alan and the creatures.
This Year 4 Punctuating Direct Speech Application worksheet is a great assessment tool as children use what they know about punctuating direct speech and apply it to their writing.
