This Year 4 Rise and Read Set 6 resource includes different activities to be used across a week to develop children's reading skills.

In this resource, there are five different texts to stimulate different styles of reading: a poem, a non-chronological report about Ancient Greek gods, an image, a quote and an extract from a narrative. Each text type has questions linked to prediction, inference, summary, retrieval, purpose, vocabulary or effect. Each text is short and easily-digestible to allow quick and simple reading activities!

There's no printing involved as they're designed to be displayed on the whiteboard and are ideal for when pupils are entering the classroom or at the start of a lesson as they are short, focused tasks.
