Improve children's understanding of the calendar and calculating time with this Year 4 Years, Months, Weeks and Days Teaching PPT.

This resource begins by reminding pupils of the relationship between days, weeks, months and years, before recapping key information about the number of days in each month, including leap years. Pupils are then guided through the process of how to calculate the number of days in several weeks, followed by the number of months in several years. Recognising that months can have a varying number of weeks and days is also covered in the resource.

Each new teaching point is followed by a fluency question to check understanding. The sequence ends with a reasoning and a problem-solving question which allows children to apply the new skills they have learnt.
