This Year 5 Adding '-ate', '-ise' and '-ify' Teaching PPT presents your class with all they need to know about adding these three suffixes to root words.

They will learn that adding a suffix changes the meaning and word class of a root word. In addition, that each suffix has a meaning and that this combines with the meaning of the root word to give a new meaning.

The questions presented throughout will keep them engaged and give you the chance to explain common misconceptions.
