Introduce your UKS2 pupils to the extraordinary architecture of Antoni Gaudí with this engaging art lesson. Children will explore how Gaudí took inspiration from nature, geometry and his faith to create some of the world's most recognisable buildings, including the Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló and Parc Güell. Through discussion, observation and creative activities, pupils will investigate Gaudí's unique style before designing and creating their own colourful mosaic artwork inspired by his famous trencadís technique. This ready-to-use lesson is ideal for developing artistic skills while making meaningful links with art history, architecture and design.

A worksheet providing an outline of the Parc Güell lizard is available to help with outlines. Click here to find out more.
