Give children the opportunity to practise all the skills required for interpreting data in a table and presenting data in line graphs with this Year 5 Draw Line Graphs resource. We've created three different varied fluency questions and have provided two examples of each style for children to become secure with the objectives covered in this lesson. Our resource has been differentiated three ways and below is a brief outline of how each level of challenge differs in its differentiation:
Developing: Questions to support drawing line graphs. Including one set of data and given scales of 1, 2 or 10 where points fall on marked increments.
Expected: Questions to support drawing line graphs. Including one set of data and any scale where most points fall on marked increments. Not all scales may be given.
Greater Depth: Questions to support drawing line graphs. Including one set of data and any scale where most points fall between marked increments. Most scales are not given.
Use this resource following your teaching input as an independent activity. Alternatively, this could be used as a homework resource or in an intervention group to further challenge or offer support where needed. A fully modelled answer sheet is provided to help speed up your marking too.
