Use this Year 5 Equivalent Fractions, Decimals and Percentages Reasoning and Problem Solving resource to help your class consolidate common fractions and their decimal and percentage equivalents.

The first reasoning question checks children's understanding of the way in which fraction, decimal and percentage equivalents are generated. The second asks them to check whether various fractions and representations have been placed correctly on a percentage number line. The third question moves to problem solving and requires children to be confident in their knowledge of how fractions, decimals and percentages relate to each other. Can they find more than one solution to the problem?

There are 2 similar parts to each question to promote confidence and an answer sheet is included to help teachers and pupils who are marking their own work.

A varied fluency resource is also available for this small step.
