Use this Year 5 Fraction of an Amount Reasoning and Problem Solving resource to give your pupils practice applying their knowledge of finding a fraction of an amount.

In question one, they are asked to find solutions to a problem with various answers, whilst in questions two and three, they decide whether a statement is correct and then explain their reasoning. Non-unit fractions are used throughout to challenge their understanding.

An answer sheet is provided to assist with quick and easy marking for teachers and self-marking for children.
