In this Year 5 How Do Plants Reproduce? Investigation Lesson, pupils will learn about sexual and asexual reproduction in plants, then focus on how plants clone and what offspring could look like.
For their investigation, they will grow baby spider plants (also known as spiderettes) from a spider plant cutting and observe them over a period of several weeks. They will record changes in height and use their results to create a line graph. An accompanying worksheet is available for this task.
