Use this discussion problem to help your children develop their reasoning and problem-solving skills with fractions. This Year 5 Multiply Non-Unit Fractions by an Integer Discussion Problem includes two questions that are designed to get your class talking about their methods of working, and the answers they get. We have also included an answer page that provides and example answer for each question, though you shouldn't be surprised if other answers are found.

Use after our other resources for this lesson, as these questions are designed to be trickier than your standard question, so a good foundation of knowledge is required.
