Use this Year 5 Multiply Whole Numbers and Decimals by 10, 100 and 1,000 Reasoning and Problem Solving resource to get your class multiplying by a variety of multiples of 10. The first two questions are reasoning questions that require children to spot mistakes and use mathematical vocabulary to explain them. Each mistake focuses on a typical mistake made when practising this skill. The third question is a problem solving question which allows pupils to develop their logical thinking to find more than one solution.
