Learning in a practical way can be fun and engaging for pupils. That's why we've created this Year 5 Order Numbers up to 100,000 Supporting Activity. Designed to be used in small groups, children create 5-digit numbers and then put their place value charts in ascending order to 'scale the ladder'. To extend the activity parameters can be given so that a number is within a certain range which will allow children to think about where best to place each digit.
