Our Year 5 Perimeter of Rectangles Teaching PPT provides the perfect way to remind children of the meaning of perimeter and show them how to calculate perimeter efficiently.

Three methods for calculating perimeter are introduced, with opportunities to check understanding after each one. Children then learn to apply their knowledge to calculate missing measurements when the perimeter and length of one side are given. The reasoning and problem solving questions will stretch their understanding and prepare them for independent work.
