This Year 5 Recognise Equivalent Fractions contains a range of fluency questions for children to build confidence whilst practising their skills. The resource is differentiated across three levels to ensure that learning can be appropriately tailored to your children needs. Each worksheet includes eight questions with a variety of representations used.

The worksheet could be used independently or in small groups to either support or further challenge children's understanding. A handy answer sheet is included to encourage peer or self-marking.

Developing: Questions to support finding fractions equivalent to a half, a third, a quarter or a fifth using pictorial support where the original denominator is represented first.

Expected: Questions to support finding equivalent unit and non-unit fractions using pictorial support where the original denominator is represented first.

Greater Depth: Questions to support finding equivalent fractions of unit and non-unit fractions using pictorial support where the image represents a multiple of the denominator.
