In this engaging writing task, children are asked to write a paragraph about a family picnic including a variety of noun phrases.

This Year 5 Using Noun Phrases Application worksheet would be a great assessment tool as children use what they know about noun phrases and apply it to their writing. This activity can be completed independently but could also be used as a discussion point for small groups or interventions.

The worksheet comes with a model answer which can be shared with the children as a good example or to aid your marking.
