English Year 3 and Year 4: Brackets, dashes or commas to indicate parenthesis

Year 5 and 6 English: (5G5.9) Brackets, dashes or commas to indicate parenthesis

Differentiation:

Beginner Adding brackets to simple sentences with relative clauses. Aimed at Year 3 Secure/Year 5 Emerging.

Easy Adding brackets to complex sentences with relative clauses and reduced relative clauses (no relative pronouns). Aimed at Year 3 Mastery/Year 5 Developing.

Tricky Adding one or two sets of brackets to more complex sentences with relative clauses and reduced relative clauses (no relative pronouns). Aimed at Year 3 Mastery/Year 5 Secure.
