Questions 1, 4 and 7 (Varied Fluency)
Developing Choose the correct word to complete each sentence. Contractions are up to 4 letters when contracted and have up to 2 letters replaced, e.g. I’ll, he’ll, it’s. Nouns used for possession are phonetically regular or high frequency words and do not end in s.
Expected Choose the correct word to complete each sentence. Contractions are up to 6 letters when contracted and have up to 2 letters replaced, e.g. can’t, isn’t, what’s.
Greater Depth Choose the correct word to complete each sentence. Contractions are up to 6 or more letters when contracted and/or have more than 2 letters replaced, e.g. wouldn’t, and exceptions, e.g. won’t.

Nouns used for possession include nouns that are phonetically irregular and nouns that are less common, including nouns that end with s.
